My name is Rebecca and I'm from Canada. For most of my life I have suffered from TMJ issues, migraines, receding chin, and severe crowding of my teeth. On March 2, 2007, I had Lefort 1 surgery (upper jaw) to fix my gummy smile, and a sliding genioplasty (chin job) to make my face balanced. My recovery has been fantastic. When I was researching this surgery, I noticed there weren't many websites out there made up of personal experiences, which is what I really wanted to see. So I started this blog for anyone who is waiting to have orthognathic surgery, has had the surgery, or is considering it. I hope it helps a little.

Good Luck Rebecca! Glad to hear you have fought off the sniffles and sneezes enough to have your surgery done.

Best wishes are with you. I know you'll be great because you're well-informed and really ready for this. This part is exciting and challenging and the climax of your big adventure.
