5 days of being daytime retainer-free

If anyone is still reading this, you must be sick of hearing about my retainers already.

Okay, so as you recall, I had two weeks in the Essexes fulltime, and then I could wear them just at night. Friday was my first day sans retainers all day. In the evening, when I popped them back in, my bottom teeth started SCREAMING. Actually, I could barely get the bottom retainer on, my teeth had moved so much. After 10 hours!

Five days later, it's still happening. If I am without retainers for more than 6 hours or so, my nerves pay for it. Especially that one bottom tooth that was so crooked and took soooooo long to straighten. It wants to go back home.

So I figure my teeth aren't really ready, and I'm wearing my retainers for about 15 hours a day. I wear them all morning (after coffee and breakfast), leave them out all afternoon, and put them back in around 8pm.

When, oh when, do my teeth stop moving and rebelling? Can anyone tell me?
